Fair pay rises that     

  • recognise the contribution that staff have made during the pandemic

  • protect us from the rising costs of living 


The Reserve Bank predicts that inflation will reach 7.7% by the end of 2022. University employees cannot afford to accept pay rises that do not compensate for the rapidly escalating costs of living. Some universities say that it would not be responsible to offer payrises about 2-3%, it would be irresponsible for employees to accept pay rises that leave them and their families substantially worse off.
