If you want to get involved join now   and become a member. It is only when members are actively involved in bargaining that we make gains. At the most basic level, you should read reports from the Union and attend meetings called to consider progress in bargaining. All members should vote on ballots to take industrial action, and participate in the action, include any protests held on the day. Support for industrial action is critical to success in bargaining.

If you contact your local union Branch, it will have lots of ways in which you can get involved. These might include:

  • Being involved in a reference group on an issue.
  • Becoming a union delegate or distributing union information.
  • Talking to colleagues, or arranging a workplace meeting in your area.
  • Sharing union social media posts with others
