We're calling on all VU Staff, members & potential members to sign the NTEU VU Log of Claims Petition ASAP to help win a new enterprise agreement with:
- Improved rights for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff
- Secure Jobs as the Norm
- Protections from Restructures
- Reasonable and Transparent Workloads
- Greater Work Life Balance
- Improved Classification Procedures
- A Real Pay Rise to Keep Pace with Inflation
Show your support for your claims and for your VU NTEU Bargaining team in negotiations with management. The branch needs as many signatures as possible on the petition, so if you haven’t signed it yet please do.
If you have signed it and you haven’t encouraged at least five of your co-workers who aren’t yet members to sign it yet please do so. Here’s the flyer which you can print off and put up in your work area.
As a reminder, a University employee who is a representative of the NTEU shall have the right to post any official notice of the NTEU in each staff room of the University; and to distribute any official notice of the Union to members in each section or department of the University. This includes the Log of Claims petition flyer.
The NTEU is asking for better pay and fairer, more equitable working conditions for VU staff.
One of the most effective ways to show our solidarity behind the NTEU bargaining team and log of claims is via a petition.
This petition can also be used during enterprise bargaining to make it clear to management that staff support the NTEU.
If possible, we'd like each member to get the signature of three non-members.
