Solidarity with staff stood down by management for taking protected industrial action

Messages of support are pouring in on social media for staff stood down by VU management from Monday 2 September.

This heavy handed managerial move comes in response to staff undertaking protected industrial action in pursuit of a new enterprise agreement, with improved pay and conditions, after waiting for more than two years since the expiry of the previous deal covering workers at Victoria University.

The pressure is building on VU management as messages of support and solidarity are being posted and shared widely on social media - by colleagues, staff at other universities, unionists, as well as members of the public. Here is a selection (below) of those received so far and please feel free to add your support on your social media channel of choice - share a meme, make a video, you choose!
